Text-based web browser

A web browser shows only text content of pages is a text-based web browser,which is not currently using in modern times.

Most of the modern web sites using graphics and videos and it uses more bandwidth.Also a text-based web  browser does not support JavaScript and Adobe Flash.

In linux users conneted to a console and want to connect web,in such case and you want only less traffic, a text-based web  browser is helpful.

It support most of the browser protocols such as Gopher, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, NNTP and WAIS.

Using Lynx in windows

Download the utility from http://www.vordweb.co.uk/standards/lynx_v283.zip

Make a folder on your C drive called lynx_w32
Unzip the contents of the lynx_v283.zip file into that folder.
Run the LYNX.BAT from the lynx_w32 folder
